Here is the information on the Jet Ski Racing to be held at Susan River, Hervey Bay on 20 January 2007.
What a venue. To get to Susan River Homestead you will go through Maryborough heading towards Hervey Bay. Suggest if not stocked up you stop there for water, fuel etc. There are no facilities at the race site apart from a toilet and big open shed cover. The homestead offers rooms with a small fridge so you may also want to bring some supplies. The rooms will be air conditioned, they are basic with toilet, basin and shower. Tea and coffee of course. There is a pool, netball, trampoline for the kids . Horse riding is available at a cost but will you have time with the racing on offer? Due to the times as below for racing no lunch will be available but on Saturday night there will be a 2 course BBQ so we can all get together and the cost is $30.00 per person. There is a bar and at this time we would ask that you support same.
Times on dam for racing:
Saturday 12.00 until 4.00
Sunday 8.30 until 12.30
The club will have cold soft drinks and some water for sale on site. Snacks etc please provide for yourself. There will not be a sausage sizzle.
Approximate Costs for accommodation:
Single occupancy 95.00 per night
Twin share / double 50.00 per person per night
Triple share 45.00 per night per person
Quad share 40.00 per person per night
Five share 35.00 per person per night
Six share 30.00 per person per night
Camping use of shower & loo 20.00 per person
Note at this stage there are 7 rooms with queen size bed and extra bedding in them available & 6 rooms with double bunks in them capable of sleeping 4 to 6 guests in them. If you want to keep costs down get talking and work out who you share a room with.
Meals
Continental breakfast 12.00 adults $9.00 child under 14
2 course BBQ Saturday night 30.00 adults $18.00 child under 14

Apparently, the last weekend up there was brilliant, lots of laughs, great racing and the social aspect was fantastic. Hope the numbers will be up this time.
Please note that there are reciprocal rights between Clubs. So you can join one Club only to compete at any event by just paying your race entry fee to the Club running the event.
Please return your completed membership forms and race entries together with monies concerned for the Susan River event ASAP.
Also, don’t forget to book your accommodation ASAP.
On a social side, we are trying to organise a social run, probably departing Victoria Point on Sunday, 7 January 2007 at 8.00am. Please let me know if you are interested in joining in.
