Racing at Phillip Park, Southport Spit on Sunday, 18th April 2010. We will meet at Seaworld Boat Ramp for motor scrutineering at 7.00am. Race entry fees are $60 per boat. Please have your entry form completed to save us some time. Please note: - All safety gear must be worn. This includes life jackets, wet suits, helmets that are 75% bright yellow or orange and cover the jaw, spare kill switch, propguard, prop blades must be within the prop-guard, roll over ropes, 20m of at least 8mm rope, boat rego.
- The water is considered to be a race course for the entire day and is controlled by the officer of the day (RD).
- No boat is allowed to leave the beach during the day without the RD permission. Even after a roll over you must have permission.
- Boats at all times must move in an anti-clock wise direction around the race course. This includes warm ups setting the course etc.
- Helmets and lifejackets must be worn at all times when in the boat. This includes practice, warm ups and getting your boat to the start line.
There will be a Club meeting held after the event. Racing at Salt Beach (Salt Festival) on 8 – 9 May 2010 We have received Maritime approval for this event but are still waiting on Council approval.
