Consider this the latest and most up-to-date information regarding the Maroochydore Surf Cross. We will be meeting at the race location at 8am. Please follow all water ways laws, 6 knots within 200m of beach and no ramming of boats onto sand until bunting is in place. Schedule 8am @ race location / surf beach 8am – 8:30am Scrutineering 9am First round of events (5 Classes of Jet Ski’s then 1 round of Thundercats) BBQ after event back at the Sand Ramp. $2 will get you a Gourmet snag on bread! BYO drinks, racings over so Alcohol is ok, just don’t drink and drive! We are expecting to have 4-5 Races in the day. Conditions of entry Competitors must be paid members of either Brisbane Coast or Gold Coast Thundercat clubs. Day membership is available for Brisbane Coast @ $30 which will go towards the yearly membership Race entry is $40 and payable before the day or at the Sandy Beach ramp. DirectionsTake Nambour\Bli Bli Exit Follow all the way to the Sunshine Motorway and continue along onto David Low Way Turn RIGHT into Ocean Drive Turn RIGHT to Sand Boat Ramp located at the end of Nujoor Road Back onto Ocean Road and then RIGHT into North Shore Road to get to the site Rules Motors do NOT have to be sealed however all TRCA safety rules need to be adhered too. B Graders will start at end of field – These races will count towards A grade license. - The parking is VERY limited so please be careful and sensible and remember not to park illegally.
- No rubbish can be left on site
- Only 1 4x4 allowed on the beach-rego 145BMC
- No damage to vegatation is allowed
- We recommend people bring their own shade structures & sunscreen
- No alcohol allowed to be consumed on site
- Bring your own food & drinks
