Bribie Island Social Trip

It was a cool and semi overcast morning.  The boat ramp was busy, that is for the ones that went to the right ramp, but we still managed to get away reasonalby early.

We decided to go up the inside of Bribie to Caloundra while the tide was up.

Keiran had a nice helmet cam running and video from that will be up soon.

We stopped a few times and re-grouped, had a breather then set off again towards Caloundra.

Note:  The seaway at Caloundra has a 6knot speed limit.  I did not see the sign 200m away and was politley told by a 40foot Police boat to slow down...

Once past the bar we banged and crashed thru some choppy water until getting some good speed along the beach front of Bribie Island.  The pack started to thin out into a long stream with some offshore and some in the shallows.

Once again we pulled up on the beach and had a break and a chat.  Shared some boat setup tips and generaly talked shit.

Changed fuel tanks over and off we went.  Had a little race against Keiran offshore until both co-pilots were rag-dolling then all of a sudden Barbados comes head on towards the pack.  Not sure what he was doing going anti-clockwise around the island.

Last segment of the trip was rounding the south end in rather smooth water and then back to the Spinaker Sound boat ramp.

Some of the boys went for some food/drink while others got the GPS out and tested some props and setups.

I had a great time meeting some new faces and I think the trip around Bribie was a good starting point for social trips.  Especialy when soon we will attack North Stradbroke and Moreton Island.
