The weather was HOT HOT HOT on the weekend. The surf sure had some power as a solid 3ft waves

were rolling in on the back bank. This was well deserved after the last race day was hell on earth. The

A & B graders had combined into one race heat, this will test there thundercat ability to the extreme and

had proven to be very successful on the skills that they had learnt in such a short peroid of time. Since

all the boats stayed up right for the day, the Out Standing Flip Award could not be handed out....Bummer....

This was our first race day at Cabarita Beach and had a very warm welcome by the Cabarita surf club.

A big thanks goes to the  Eoin for driving the boats up and down the beach. Also providing us

with the BBQ equipment for the Feast after we called it a day. Thankyou you very much.

Dennis co-pilot of Macleods Daughters was the only co-pilot to fallout on the weekend, this was on the

first lap of the first race. Keep it up Dennis...

Nick co-pilot of Carrot Cat, lost his helmet punching through the middle of a green wave. As the boat came

through the wave the helmet went flying up in the air out of control, the boat then went up the next wave

and he managed to catch his helmet in mid flight and he put it back on his head. AMAZING...

Thundercats that attended the day were TTTC, G & E Paint, Fat Cat, RP Industries, Carrot Cat, Im Too Toe,

Blue 104, Macleods Daughters and Crocker Builders. Thanks for attending.

There was no shortage of AIR time as most boat recieved some sort of punishment as the sets were rolling inn.

Near the end of the day, it was decided that it was time for some handy-cap races. We lined the slowest

boat up at pole position and went out to 8th boat being the quickest boat of the day. Each boat had a

seperate starting flag of a handy-cap up to 10 sec delay. This turned out to be a exciting event as most boats

by the 4th and 5th lap were all very close together, it came to the 6th last lap to decide a winner.
